About Nip-it

Hello!
I’m Nikki, a busy mum, wife, Oral Health Therapist and creator of Nip-it. My loves are my family, my cheeky beaglier, being outdoors and a healthy, clean living.

Nip-it all started in a dental surgery, as my patients often turned up to their appointments with a cold sore. It got me thinking? I wanted to educate people on how cold sores can spread, how to prevent them and how to use a natural remedy to aid in the healing process or even better how to prevent them. After extensive research and testing on family, friends and anyone willing, Nip-it Healing Balm was born. I'm very excited with the result.

There is yet to be a cure for cold sores but it doesn’t mean there isn’t help at hand.

Cold sores are produced by the herpes simplex virus type 1. It is estimated that 80% of Australians have the herpes simplex virus and 2/3 of the world’s population. Although, only some people will experience outbreaks. The virus spreads via saliva from kissing, sharing toothbrushes and utensils etc.

My magic ingredient is Liquorice Root and Lemon Balm. Although more research is needed they have been used in traditional Chinese, Greek, Egyptian natural medicine for centuries. These ancient cultures recognised its anti-viral, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. Studies have shown a significant reduction in the duration and severity of cold sores. Research also notices a “tremendous reduction” in the frequency of recurrence.

Myself, my sons, family & friends have also had great results with the healing balm for Eczema.

I work with a local compounding pharmacy to make sure the balm is safe to use and follows Australian Pharmacy Standards.

So that’s how Nip-it started!

I love this product! I use it on myself, family and friends and now I’d like you to try it.

The future is bright – I’m working on more products so watch this space. . .
